This is my place to rant about the various things in life that piss me off, annoy me, bug me, aggravate me, etc. This stuff will be pretty uncensored and raw, so if you're easily offended, I'd suggest you stop reading now.

What is it with these dumb motherfuckers who drive on our Interstate highways? Especially the fuckwads who routinely congregate on I-40 between Chapel Hill and Raleigh? At least 3 times in the last 2 weeks I've nearly been side-swiped by some idiot who decided to change langes without bothering to look and see if there was room to get over. These fuckers need to learn how to fucking drive, or else turn in their drivers license, and start riding the bus.

Todays rant concerns the assholes that sometimes populate mailing lists and/or Usenet news groups. You know the ones I'm talking about... people who have a superiority complex, feel the need to self appoint themselves as the list moderator / police, and basically think that their shit doesn't stink. Yeah... those people - the obnoxious fuckers that e-mail you saying "you know, you really shouldn't have sent that to the entire list... " or "it's rude to send test messages to the list." Well, you know what I have to say to people like that? This is what I have to say to those people:

Fuck You. Get over yourself, dickhead(s). Nobody likes your type ( except, maybe, just maybe, other fuckwads like yourself ), you're not wanted, or needed by the rest of us normal folks.

All I want to know is... WHAT THE FUCK happened to these guys??? Fucking Queensryche have been one of my 3 favorite bands for years, and I absolutely love albums like Rage for Order, Operation:Mindcrime, and Empire. But they haven't put out a fucking thing that isn't absolute shit, since Empire. I remember buying Promised Land when it first came out, and being so revolted by that crap, that I almost puked. I remember just thinking to myself over and over "No, it can't be... not Queensryche... they couldn't have sold out and tried to become a 90's alterna-crap band.. not Queensryche."

Sadly, as the subsequent releases of Hear In The Now Frontier and Q2K would prove... they had indeed done the unthinkable. Queensryche sold out, turned their backs on all the fans that catapulted them to prominence, and basically said "fuck you" to all their old fans.

I still hold out hope that those 3 albums were just aberrations, that their label put pressure on them to release that cruft, and that now that the tides of music are shifting back towards metal again, that they will produce yet another masterpiece, in the mold of Operation:Mindcrime or Empire. It's not a particularly strong hope, however.
