Academics

This section will have information about my academic pursuits, past and present. This might include, but is not limited to: links to schools I've attended, degrees I've earned, schools I /want/ to attend, degrees I'm working on at the moment, links with information about classes I'm in, etc.

Schools I Have Attended In The Past
Schools I'm Currently Attending

  • Wake Technical Community College
  • - I just finished an Associate of Science in Computer Programming here, now I'm here working on an
Associate of Science in High Performance Computing plus taking some transfer classes.
Schools I Might Attend In The Future - Realistic List

  • Durham Tech - DTCC is closer to where I live, than Wake Tech, so I'll probably take some transfer classes here. Probably starting with a math class this Summer session.
  • Alamance Community College - Not very likely I'd go here for anything, unless I need a transfer class that I can't get anywhere else due to scheduling conflicts or something.
  • North Carolina Central University - Just somewhere I might go to pick up a class or two, since it's close to home.
  • University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill
  • - I want to go here, to finish my still uncompleted Bachelors degree. Still in Computer Science, of course.
  • North Carolina State University
  • - As unlikely as it might seem for someone to be interested in going to both Carolina and State... I am. But only because State has an Electrical Engineering program, and Carolina doesn't. I might go take a few E.E. classes at State, here and there. Or I might even go there and do an E.E. degree. Who knows?
Schools I Might Attend In The Future - Wish List

  • Massachusetts Institute of Technology
  • - MIT, a school I always dreamed about attending. Maybe not totally unrealistic to think I might go there one day, but probably not incredibly likely, either.
  • University of California - Berkeley
  • - U-Cal @ Berkeley, what computer science student hasn't thought about going here? This is probably a more realistic wish for me than MIT, but who knows...
  • California Institute of Technology
  • - Aaah, Caltech. Now that would be cool.
  • Stanford University
  • - Stanford, home of Donald Knuth. 'Nuff said.
  • Princeton University
  • - Princeton, another outstanding school for computer science students. Doubt I'll ever go there, but never say never...
  • Carnegie-Mellon University
  • - Carnegie-Mellon... imagine that.
  • Oxford University
  • - Hey, I've always had a special fondness for England, and Oxford is such a prestigious school... besides, if you're going to dream, why not dream big? I wouldn't bet any money on me ever attending this school, however. Well... at least not any money I couldn't afford to lose.
